We have received a recent notification from the Wild Salmon Senior Policy Officer with the Wild Salmon and Recreational Fisheries Team at Scottish Government to alert us to the publication of a progress report on the Wild Salmon Strategy Implementation Plan. The report provides a short update on the delivery of those actions within the plan which have progressed in 2023/24.
“The Scottish Government continues to take the issue of our declining wild salmon populations very seriously. The actions within the Implementation Plan aim to address the wide range of pressures acting on wild salmon and the delivery of the actions will continue into 2024/25.”
